Collection: Discordant Palette

Sophisticated, yet approachable-- Discordant Palette is a power-clash of hues that are simultaniously futuristic and nostalgic. Dissonant with intention. 

Historically, we saw colors of this intensity and temperature take center stage in the French painting movement referred to as Fauvism in around 1905-1910. Localized color with high saturation and varying opacity, straight-from-the-paint-tube color was the trend of the movement. Packed with feeling, these cool-casted hues screamed expressionism. These colors went into the vault for a bit and had another big surge of popularity in the 60s-70s, before retreating again.

At present, these colors are *back* and taking runways by storm. Having inundated trend forecasts for the next couple of years, I feel like their resurgence is a mark of fresh societal individualism where statement garments are a flex, not a fault.
