The Vision:
Koi Pond meets Retro Googie! The palette I've found myself drooling over this month feels a little vintage and a lot like late-summer. Nostalgic and playful, this month's kit is torn between being soothing and action packed. 

Meandering blues and aquas slipping into redundant neutrals felt key when I was dreaming up this color story. But when we tip over into yellows and oranges, it's all punch. Together the tension here is almost unspeakable. With a blend of synthetic hues and low-chroma neutrals our eyes bounce around, measuring colors against each other. And by refusing white, but instead holding our lightest value around those muddled neutrals in the middle, we find ourselves with an overall sun-kissed and antiquated feel. Ember and Water Baby holding each other in balance on either end simply makes me wanna yell it's so good. 

A new colorway, a retiree back for more, and a limited edition hue just visiting us. Nothing like the August Kit for a little bit of fishbowl fun.
