Collection: The Dyer's Collection

As an artist, I am drawn to un-tread paths around the color wheel; paths that journey from one hue to another through micro-steps that culminate in gooey, intriguing Hue Melts. These barely-there shifts resonate most powerfully when taken in as a whole story.

This approach is different from the bold, individualized hues that define my shop palettes. In the shop, clarity matters. Distinct, confident colors help you choose the shade that speaks to you without getting lost comparing two tones that differ only by a breath. My personal work, however, thrives within that breath-- in the delicate tip-toeing from one hue to the next and the atmosphere that builds along the way.

The Dyer's Collection is a corner of BCY dedicated to the nuanced, exploratory and expressive color stories that usually stay locked behind my studio door, only now I seem to have forgotten my keys...

Available only on the bases I feel like dyeing and as complete sets. Each Hue Melt will be here for as long as it is actively being worked on my loom or needles.

Oh, and to keep your process intuitive, the colors are numbered rather than named, allowing you to cast on or warp seamlessly— just let the color unfold before you.
